Račice-Pístovice
Today's village Račice - Pístovice was founded in 1960 by merging the two municipalities. It lies in a valley surrounded by wooded creek rakoveckého hills Drahanská Highland, 9km from the town Vyškov. Landscape is dominated by a Renaissance chateau Racice standing in place of a Gothic castle from the 1312th Today there is a creche and school. Rakvice
The first written mention of Rakvice dates from 1248, but evidence that there existed much earlier prehistoric Slavic population, the findings of Slavic pottery. Slavic settlements existed there seems to be up to 13 century. After 1248 Rakvice changed hands several times until the end of the 15th a century into the hands of Lords of Lipa.
