Světlá
Světlá byla založena ve 13. století klášterem Hradisko u Olomouce. Bývala též zvána Světlé či Světlý. Katastr obce leží v geologickém útvaru Boskovické brázdy a na východě je lemován zvedajícími se kopci Drahanské vrchoviny.

Svinošice

Svitávka
Při geologickém mapování  v roce 1962 byl objeven východně od obce Svitávka v obecní cihelně pozůstatek člověka. Následný výzkum odkryl porušený skelet, který se podařilo částečně zrekonstruovat, zvláště jeho obličejová část. Kostra patřila dospívajícímu jedinci, pravděpodobně ženského pohlaví. Stáří nálezu se odhadovalo na 24 000 - 30 000 let, podle nedávného radiokarbonového datování je ovšem nález opět podstatně mladší, spadá do neolitu....
