gastronomie South Moravia is situated in the territory of several major ethnographic regions, which are characterized by a broad range of folk traditions that gave rise to distinctive regional cuisine. Typical features of the local cuisine are mainly influenced by the fertility of the region with plenty of grain, potatoes, fruits and wine. Everyday cooking was simple, but accompanied by fruit dumplings, patents (potato pancakes with prune jam and poppy seeds) or scones with a hearty soup of beans and peas. A celebration meal consisted of a unique lukše soup, roast goose with sauerkraut and potato dumplings and accompanied by a local red wine. You can please your taste buds at numerous tastings of local wines and spirits by local producers, which, like the folk music, are enhanced by excellent singers and dancers who contribute to the distinctive character of the local region.
